Lawful basis & biometrics. A facial template is biometric data. We index only images that are publicly available on the open web; we do not access private accounts, locked profiles, or content behind logins or paywalls. We process this data to provide a search service and to let people protect themselves, and we rely on the lawful bases available to us (including legitimate interests and, where applicable, consent). Any person can opt out and have their likeness blocked from results, and we do not knowingly process biometric data of people under 18 (see §10).

Images you upload to run a search are deleted within 24 hours and are never added to our index or used to train or "improve" our models. The facial vector derived from your uploaded image is used only to run that single search and is discarded within the same period, unless a longer period is required by law.

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect the security of your personal information. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies. They fall into three groups:

• Strictly necessary — login, session, and security (CSRF) cookies the site needs to function.
• Functional — our support chat widget (Tawk.to) and your cookie-consent choice. We also set a first-party affiliate-attribution cookie when you arrive via a referral link.
• Analytics — Google Analytics, which we load only after you accept via the cookie banner. Decline and we don't load it.

You can change your choice by clearing the consent cookie, and you can instruct your browser to refuse cookies entirely.

Our Service may contain links to third-party websites or services that are not operated by us. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services.
